CYSTX® Testing

ICIA and Purdue University cooperate in providing a greenhouse test for CystX® Technology. This test utilizes an inbred strain of soybean cyst nematodes maintained under controlled conditions. Each test includes both CystX® and susceptible controls. The test requires producing seedlings upon which juveniles soybean cyst nematodes are placed for evaluation. The total time of the test is approximately 45 days.

Disclaimer:  Data are applicable only to the plants tested and based on the number of seeds tested; only a statistical inference about the genotypes of the remnant seeds can be made. Tests reported are conducted on a sample provided by the requesting party, the collection of which was beyond the control of Indiana Crop Improvement Association. Results are representative of the condition of the sample on the day the tests were performed.
