The Indiana Crop Improvement Association, Inc. exists to deliver unbiased, needed services to customers in the seed, grain, food, and related industries. As a non-profit, self-supporting agency, ICIA objectively carries out various seed programs including seed certification, laboratory testing and other quality assurance programs.

The Association's office and seed laboratory facilities are located in Lafayette, Indiana. Though not on campus, the Association has a strong working relationship with Purdue University, as all ICIA full-time staff are associates in the Purdue Agronomy Department.

Recognizing the importance of such systems, the certification of agronomic crops was delegated to the Indiana Crop Improvement Association, Inc. by the Director of Purdue Ag Research Programs under state law governing seed certification programs and related services. These services are complementary to and supportive of seed certification and promoting the use of good seed.

The Indiana Crop Improvement Association, Inc. (ICIA) is dedicated to improving productivity, profitability and the competitive position of ICIA members by providing services to producers, conditioners and distributors of plant products enabling them to provide high quality plant products to Indiana, the US, and the World.

                                                                    Vision Statement

The vision of the Indiana Crop Improvement Association is to expand field services, seed laboratory services, genetic identification capabilities, and targeted research activities. These programs may include traditional, accredited, or other customized quality assurance systems.

The Association's Articles of Incorporation, by-laws and other records and information are available for review at the main office in Lafayette. No confidential member records or information will be shared without the expressed, written permission of the member.
