Bioassay & Herbicide

ICIA offers quantitative bioassay testing for herbicide resistance traits of various crops, including Dicamba resistance found in Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans and 2, 4-D resistance found in Enlist™ brand corn products

We offer a number of tests which include:

  • Glyphosate resistant corn: this test determines the percentage of glyphosate (Roundup®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed corn sample

  • Glufosinate resistant corn: this test will determine the percentage of glufosinate-ammonium (Liberty®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed corn sample
  • 2, 4-D resistant corn: this test will determine the percentage of 2, 4-D (Enlist Duo®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed corn sample
  • IMI corn: this bioassay determines the percentage of imidazolinone (Pursuit®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed corn sample
  • Glyphosate resistant soybeans: this bioassay determines the percentage of glyphosate (Roundup®) tolerant soybean seeds in a 200 seed sample
  • Dicamba resistant soybeans: this test determines the percentage of dicamba (XtendiMax®) tolerant soybean seeds in a 200 seed sample

  • Glufosinate resistant soybeans: this test will determine the percentage of glufosinate-ammonium (Liberty®) tolerant seeds in a 200 seed soybean sample

  • STS soybeans: this determines the percentage of sulfonylurea (Synchrony®) tolerant soybean seeds in a 200 seed sample

Herbicide resistance traits are continually being developed by industry technology providers - ICIA stays at the forefront of these as they are introduced to ensure lab approval and readiness to perform the tests when they are needed.
